Striving to simplify and advance incorporation of companies and starting businesses
In accordance with the amendments to the Law on the Procedure of Registration with the Serbian Business Registers Agency from 2021, it is mandatory for the Serbian Business Registers Agency to only accept applications for the incorporation of a company in electronic form. This is also in accordance with the concept of e-Administration and digitalization of business operations of the entire economy.
Therefore, as of May 17 2023 it will no longer be possible to submit an application for the incorporation of a company to the Serbian Business Registers Agency in paper form.
It is stated that the goal is to reduce the costs and time needed to incorporate a company, and it is aimed at improving and expanding the quality of services for citizens. It is also estimated that the time for processing the applications by the Agency should be reduced.
However, electronic form of applications does not apply to the applications for registering the change of data, as these applications are still required to be submitted in paper form. The director of the Serbian Business Registers Agency announced that these applications will also be made available in electronic form in the foreseeable future.
