Real Estate and Rental Prices are soaring

In the first quarter of 2022, the Real Estate market generated the total volume of funds in the amount of 1.6 billion Euros, thus representing an increase of 22.2% compared to the same quarter of 2021.

In the turnover of all types of real estate, the majority of money investments made were in apartments, with the amount invested in this type of real estate being 889.5 million Euros, which represents 57% according to the report of the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA). According to the report of the RGA, the highest price per square meter of 9,115 Euros was for an apartment sold in “Belgrade Waterfront”.

The number of concluded sales contracts also follow, thus in the period covered by the RGA  a total of 32.164 contracts were concluded, which is 6,7% more than in the first quarter of last year.

In addition, the lack of construction materials related to steel and iron has led them to become more expensive, and plastic products and materials such as aluminium also recorded a huge increase, which led to an increase in real estate prices, although the upward trend has been noticeable for the past year and a half.
